About the Program
The No Boundaries program is an active and inclusive sports and games program which aims to support the wellbeing, confidence and community connection of people living with a disability, by offering the opportunity to participate in regular active recreation in a safe, supportive and inclusive environment.
Sessions will be run on a weekly basis and include adjusted sports and active games, suitable for participants of all abilities. The sessions will encourage participants to ‘have a go’, while promoting an active and social lifestyle.
All sessions will be free of charge and involve:
- Active games and activities, adjusted to suit the needs of the individual participants
- Regular water breaks will be worked into the program, and a designated quiet space will be available for participants who need to take a break at any time.
- Participation by carers and support persons is encouraged.
- Flexibility and fun will be our key drivers
Have a go sports programs encourage and empower people living with disabilities to explore sporting opportunities in their local communities.
No Boundaries is open to people of all abilities, aged 16 and over. It is specifically targeted towards those who are not attending school or engaged in other education, training or employment.
All attendees participating with need to have their parent, guardian or carer present and under supervision for the duration of the session.
- Please note, while school-aged participants may attend the program; they will only be accepted with prior permission of their school or education program.
